1. Agreement and eligibility
PurePath ("the app") is published by Vectis Innovation Labs ("Vectis", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, purchasing, or using PurePath, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 17 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.
2. What PurePath is — and is not
PurePath provides educational material, reflection tools, reminders, recovery planning, and optional blocking features intended to help adults reduce compulsive digital habits. It is a self-help product, not a medical device, healthcare service, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or crisis service. Do not delay or replace professional care because of information in the app.
If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, contact your local emergency service or a verified crisis service. Resources displayed or opened by PurePath are operated by independent third parties. We do not control their availability, advice, or conduct.
3. Content Shield and permissions
The Content Shield is a commitment aid that applies rules you choose. It is not guaranteed to be immediate, uninterrupted, or impossible to bypass. Operating-system changes, device settings, battery management, browser design, in-app browsers, sign-in hand-offs, app updates, and permission changes may affect blocking.
Android
Android blocking requires you to enable PurePath's Accessibility service. The service identifies the foreground app and, in supported browsers, reads the current address bar so it can compare that app or domain with your chosen block rules. The service may stop protecting if you disable its permission or Android stops it. The complete data-use disclosure is in our Privacy Policy.
iOS
iOS blocking depends on Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time frameworks and the permissions you grant. Apple and iOS determine how those controls are applied and made available.
You remain responsible for your device settings, choices, and wellbeing. Do not rely on PurePath as the sole safeguard against content, apps, relapse, self-harm, or any emergency.
4. Free and paid access
Some safety features, including the SOS toolkit and crisis-resource links, are available without a subscription or lifetime purchase. Other features may require PurePath Pro. The current app and store listing show which features are included before you purchase.
5. Subscriptions, trials, and lifetime purchase
PurePath Pro may be offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription and as a one-time lifetime purchase. On Android, the yearly subscription includes a seven-day free trial for eligible new customers. Available products, prices, currencies, taxes, and other offer terms can vary by platform, country, store account, and time. Google Play determines trial eligibility and shows the localized price that will be charged after the trial. The terms and price shown by Google Play or the App Store at confirmation are the terms that apply to that transaction.
Subscriptions and free trials
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the billing interval and price shown by the store unless you cancel before the applicable renewal deadline.
- For eligible new Android customers, the yearly plan's seven-day free trial converts to the displayed yearly subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Any other free or discounted trial applies only when the store says your account is eligible. Unless you cancel before it ends, the trial converts to the paid subscription shown at confirmation.
- A reminder from PurePath is a convenience only. Delivery is not guaranteed and does not replace managing the subscription through your store account.
- Deleting PurePath does not cancel a subscription.
Lifetime purchase
The lifetime option is a one-time, non-renewing purchase that unlocks the included PurePath Pro features for the purchasing store account on that platform, subject to store restoration rules, continued app availability, device compatibility, and these terms. It does not transfer automatically between Google Play and the App Store and does not include a separate future product or service unless we expressly say it does.
Billing and entitlement
Google processes Android purchases and Apple processes iOS purchases. The applicable store charges your selected payment method and supplies PurePath with purchase-status information needed to grant access. Access may be withheld or removed if a purchase is pending, cancelled before completion, refunded, revoked, subject to a chargeback, or otherwise reported invalid by the store.
6. Managing or cancelling a subscription
Android: Manage or cancel through Google Play → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → PurePath, or use Google Play's subscription page.
iOS: Manage or cancel through Settings → your name → Subscriptions → PurePath, or through Apple's subscription-management options.
Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period, so access usually continues until then. Different rules may apply in some countries or when required by law. You should use the store's cancellation process; contacting support does not by itself cancel a subscription.
7. Refunds and purchase problems
Refund eligibility depends on the store used, the type and timing of the purchase, your location, and applicable law. For Android purchases, use Google Play's refund process. For iOS purchases, use Apple's billing and refund process. Contact support@vectisinnovationlabs.com if a valid purchase is not unlocking access. Nothing in this section limits refund or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Your responsibilities
You agree to use PurePath lawfully and for its intended personal purpose. You must not attempt to resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, disrupt, misuse, or gain unauthorized access to the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
You are responsible for keeping your device, store account, optional exported backup, backup password, and accountability-partner code secure. Vectis cannot recover a lost partner code or Android backup password. If you export a backup, you are responsible for where it is stored and who can access it.
9. Your content and privacy
Your recovery entries and plans remain yours. PurePath processes them locally to provide the features you use; you do not grant Vectis ownership of them. The app's storage, Content Shield processing, store purchases, backups, support email, and deletion behavior are described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual property and licence
PurePath, its software, design, written content, branding, and the Vectis lever-and-fulcrum marks are owned by Vectis Innovation Labs or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these terms and the applicable store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control.
11. Availability, updates, and changes
We may update, correct, improve, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary, including for safety, security, compatibility, legal, or store-policy reasons. We do not promise that every feature will work with every device, Android manufacturer, operating-system version, browser, website, or third-party app. You may need to install updates to continue using some features.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, PurePath is provided "as is" and "as available", without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular outcome. Recovery outcomes differ between people, and we do not guarantee abstinence, behavior change, or that the Content Shield will block every app or site.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vectis Innovation Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of or inability to use the app. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded — including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
13. Third-party services and store terms
Google Play, the App Store, device operating systems, external websites, email providers, and crisis or support services are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. Their availability and decisions are outside our control.
Google Play terms apply to Android downloads and purchases. Apple's terms apply to iOS downloads and purchases, including Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement where applicable. If a mandatory store term conflicts with these terms, the mandatory store term applies to the extent of the conflict.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as PurePath, applicable law, or store requirements change. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision. Where required, material changes will be presented in the app or store listing. Continuing to use PurePath after revised terms take effect means you accept them, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.
15. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without limiting any mandatory rights you have under the laws of your place of residence. Questions about these terms: support@vectisinnovationlabs.com.
